Hi, I'm Liz.
I’m a freelance writer from Redruth, in Cornwall.
I’m a qualified secondary English teacher with a degree in English language studies, so you can expect an excellent standard of written English when you work with me.
I deliver well-researched, engaging content to help your people find you online.
Maybe you need someone to help you fill the pages of a shiny new website with content to let your clients know what you’re all about. Or perhaps it’s been a while since you looked at your site through a customer’s eyes, and you’d like some help sprucing it up.
Or, have you been rolling the words “start blogging” over from one to-do list to the next for months now, still kind of wanting to do it, but not managing to make it happen?
Hiring a freelance writer can help you here too.
Keeping a business blog going takes time and resources you might not have when you’re busy wearing all the different hats a small business requires of you. Let me take some of that work off your plate.
I’ll turn in well-written, polished copy, on time.
I live with my husband, five children, two of whom are home educated, and an assortment of animals. Things can get pretty chaotic around here – you know how some people say, “Not my circus, not my monkeys”? Well, they’re usually my monkeys!
When I’m not writing, home educating, and generally child-wrangling, you’ll find me at the beach. I’m a year-round outdoor swimmer, the colder the better. The highlight of the 2021 Covid lockdown was breaking the ice to swim when my local quarry froze over.
I’ve been a keen sourdough baker since long before the great quarantine sourdough-fest. Lately I’ve been getting into other fermented foods as well, so there’s usually a jar or two of something bubbling away in the kitchen. I keep up a pretty steady production line of sauerkraut and kimchi. (When we meet you should ask about my ginger beer disaster!)
